Mahoning County ARES Registration
| All Mahoning County amateur radio operators who would like to volunteer to help with public service
and disaster communications need to register with ARES so they can be notified of events, training, exercises, and activations.
To Register for Mahoning County ARES fill out the form at the link below and email to mahoning.ares@gmail.com Mahoning County ARES Membership Form MCARES uses Dial My Call to notify members about activations via voice, text, and email simultaneously. All active members need to register for Dial My Call here. Those not on Dial my Call will be put on our inactive list. Many of the agencies we serve require additional skill and training beyond an amateur radio license. MC ARES Members need to print out a task book to track and document their training levels. MC ARES leadership will verify and sign off on each completed element. The MCARES task book can be downloaded here Mahoning County EMA requires all volunteers to complete FEMA NIMS courses IS-100, IS-200, IS-700, IS-800 and IS-288.
